On Thursday, April 16th, MAFDA held their 23rd Annual Golf outing, with over 50 Industry professionals in attendance for a day of golf and fundraising at Downingtown CC in Downingtown, Pa.
The event kicked off with a lunch buffet, followed by a beautiful day on the greens. After golf was over, we proceeded to the patio to enjoy Happy Hour, engage in meaningful conversations, and network with industry leaders. Prizes were given out to the winners of the golf outing, where the closest-to-the-pin award winners all received a signed NFL football from former Eagles great and Eagles Hall of Fame member quarterback Ron Jaworski. Other winning teams received gift cards & sunglasses.
Barbara Shimer from SRI (Specialty Resources Inc.), who has been the Scholarship Chair for this event for over 20 years, introduced the the Scholarship winners prior to dinner. Since our inception in 2003, we have awarded over $250K to the children of our industry to further their education. The following scholarships were awarded with amounts ranging from $3,500 to $1,500.00 per student:

After the scholarships were awarded, we proceeded with great anticipation to the raffle prizes, such as TVs, Taylor Made Putters, Range Finders, Pizza Makers, Yeti Coolers, Golf Travel Bags, Electronics, Gift Cards, and more.
